Job Summary

· Expert user of Xero and Joiin, supporting multiple international subsidiaries

· Management and development of junior finance team members

· Oversight of bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and customer invoicing

· Cashflow forecasting, analysis, and reporting to support business decisions

· End-to-end taxation compliance including PAYG, Payroll Tax, and GST

· Payroll processing, superannuation, and workers compensation management

· Preparation of monthly journals and balance sheet reconciliations

· Identification and challenge of unnecessary expenditure and operational inefficiencies

· Preparation of annual statutory accounts and monthly management reporting

· Liaison with external accountants, auditors, and advisors

· Management of corporate insurances

Technical Skills / Experience

· Expert in Xero, Joiin and multiple international subsidiaries.

· 5+ years of experience in a senior finance role

· 3+ years of management experience

The Role

As Software Development Manager, you will provide technical leadership, delivery ownership, and people leadership for our development teams. You will ensure we deliver high-quality, scalable SaaS solutions predictably, while continuously improving our Agile maturity and engineering practices.

‍

You’ll work closely with Product and senior stakeholders to align technical decisions with commercial outcomes, while fostering a culture of wellbeing, growth, and accountability.

‍

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and mentor software engineers, providing hands-on technical guidance and coaching
• Own Agile delivery: sprint planning, execution, retrospectives, and continuous improvement
• Ensure delivery of secure, scalable SaaS solutions aligned to customer and business needs
• Review designs and solutions to maintain high standards of quality, security, performance, and resilience
• Identify risks, bottlenecks, and technical debt early and act decisively
• Drive improvements in engineering practices, tooling, and delivery cadence
• Partner with Product and stakeholders to translate strategy into executable delivery
• Support career development, performance growth, and succession planning within the team
• Foster a high-performance culture grounded in trust, wellbeing, and accountability

What We’re Looking For (Must-Have)

• Proven experience leading teams in a Commercial SaaS environment (this is essential)
• Strong background as a software engineer who has progressed into leadership
• Hands-on experience with Agile development (Scrum/Kanban) and sprint-based delivery
• Demonstrated success delivering commercial, customer-facing software products
• Deep technical credibility, able to challenge designs, guide architecture, and assess trade-offs
• Experience coaching engineers across varying levels of seniority
• Strong communication skills, able to align technical teams with business priorities
• Strong AWS experience with a clear focus on cost-conscious engineering and cloud cost optimisation and modern DevOps practices

Nice to Have

• Experience in FinTech, RegTech, or other regulated environments
• Interest in emerging technologies such as AI/LLMs in SaaS products
• Experience applying SRE principles to improve reliability, availability, incident response, and production stability in SaaS systems

Our Head Office is located in North Sydney, and we have a hybrid work from home policy (applicable after successful completion of the initial training period) - working in the office a minimum of three days per week - to promote work-life balance!

In the KYC Verifier role, you will:

• Conduct background checks on individuals and companies
• Verify identities, company structures, shareholdings and more
• Liaise with clients and guide them through the verification process
• Handle queries and provide stellar service, every step of the way
• Stay sharp on regulations and suggest process improvements

As a Software Developer at MVSI, you will be an integral part of our Engineering Team, contributing to the design, development, and delivery of our next-generation SaaS platform within the newly formed Product Delivery and Platform team. You will help build high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions that deliver real value to our clients.

• Build and maintain systems that are fit for purpose, well-architected, and aligned with MVSI development best practices.

Role Responsibilities

• Promoting and selling our SaaS products with extensive knowledge and confidence.
• Initiating cold and warm calls and converting them into remote or F2F meetings
• Develop sales plans and strategies to ensure that you are growing our business in line with our GP targets / KPIs.
• Conduct research to identify gaps in the market and prospective clients.
• Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the company's software solutions and industry trends to effectively communicate the benefits and value proposition to potential clients.
• Attending F2F and remote meetings with our pre-sales team to promote our companies’ unique product and being involved in demos showcasing our solutions in in line with customer needs.
• Managing end-to-end sales cycles to ensure that we are closing out opportunities in a timely manner with excellent customer service.
• CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all sales activity in the system and ensuring timely follow-ups with prospects and leads.
• Preparing sales contracts and managing post-sales services.
